Matanzas artists deserve Cubadisco 2024 Awards (+audio and photos).

Bethoven. Concertos para piano, by Frank Fernández and the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional, under the baton of Enrique Pérez Mesa from Matanzas, deserved the Grand Prize of the contest.
The winners of the Cubadisco 2024 International Record Fair awards, among them several musical proposals from Matanzas, were recently announced.

Bethoven. Piano Concertos, by Frank Fernandez and the National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Enrique Perez Mesa from Matanzas, won the Grand Prize of the contest.
The disc also excelled in the categories of Graphic Design, Concert Soloist and Musicological Notes, by another Matanzas native, musicologist, researcher and professor Jesús Gómez Cairo (recently deceased), for a total of four awards.
Tony Ávila and his band were applauded in the Nueva Trova and Record Notes sections by journalist and critic Joaquín Borges-Triana, with Universos, under the Bis Music label.

Estrenando mis 80, by Guido López Gavilán, also fron Matanzas, took home the Cubadisco award in Symphonic and Chamber Music and in Uncontrolled Sound Design, a task carried out by Giraldo García.

La Failde continues its harvest of hits with Danzoneando, live from Matanzas. After the album was among the Latin Grammy nominees at the end of last year, now they reached the top in Traditional Variety at the International Record Fair.

Other Matanzas artists who obtained nominations in Cubadisco 2024 were Alejandro Falcón, Bryan Sánchez, Raúl Torres, Lien Rodríguez, Ernesto Pita and Los Muñequitos de Matanzas along with Ojundegara.
