Meliá International, venue for UN Tourism meeting.

The Meliá Internacional Varadero Hotel will host the 69th Regional Commission of the Americas of the former World Tourism Organization, now under the new name of UNO Tourism, an event that will allow the heads, leaders and executives of the sector to exchange relevant topics on the activity in this geographic area.

More than 20 countries are expected to attend the prominent meeting that will mark a milestone to reflect on the development of the travel industry and in which the Secretary General of UN Tourism, Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili, and Gustavo Santos, representative for the Americas, will participate.

With this venue, the Meliá International reaffirms its position as a venue for events, congresses and conventions (MICE), as it has been for two world events, such as the Cocktail and Underwater Photography Conventions and the 39th Congress of the Federation of Latin American Congress Organizing Bodies (COCAL), to name a few.

Officially inaugurated on September 14th, 2019, the hotel facility has the conditions to become a benchmark for event and incentive tourism, for which it has a large convention area of 1,000 square meters, with various facilities for congresses and business meetings.
