New CADECA services show remarkable acceptance in Matanzas.

A week after implementing the service of selling US dollars (USD) for deposit on magnetic cards, the Casas de Cambio subsidiary in Matanzas is registering favourable results.

Elizabeth Watson, director of the entity, commented that about 50 percent of the people make the purchase of USD to deposit on cards and that only a minority is interested in acquiring freely convertible currency (MLC) in cash.

Dailé González, provincial director of the financial institution, explained that MLC purchases are made in five branches in the territory: Matanzas, Cárdenas, Santa Marta, Arenas Blancas (Varadero) and Jagüey Grande.

Regarding access to the service in demand, he pointed out that reservations continue to be made through the Ticket platform, from the web or the application for mobile devices.
