Pedro Betancourt authorities advocate for community welfare and quality of services.

A working team of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power and its Board of Directors visited the Bolondón district with the aim of monitoring compliance with the law and promoting effective solutions to the problems demanded by the population.
In an exchange with workers, students and leaders of productive and service units and under the leadership of Yonel Estrada Ramírez, president of the local governmental structure, the authorities were interested in the aging of the citizens’ proposals and in those attitudes of indolence and lack of management that, beyond the scarcity of resources and the tightening of the US siege, must be eradicated for a better performance of the entities involved.
The agenda also included a review of the state of local services, the working conditions and needs of employees and the quality of services, with special attention to those agencies where administrative laziness has limited progress in resolving feasible problems and the importance of acting quickly and effectively in this regard.
Likewise, Mardiel Surí González, vice-president of this local body, together with Rubén Díaz, president of this Popular Council and Dairis Cárdenas, secretary of the Administration Council, went to Güira de Macuriges to evaluate the effectiveness of essential services corresponding to commerce, gastronomy, health, culture, water supply, food production and the protection of the elderly through the System of Attention to the Families of the enclave.
In both journeys, the highest territorial leadership stressed the importance of the delegate as a key figure in communication and constant linkage with the people and guarantor that citizens’ opinions have a real impact on governmental decision-making.
