Pedro Betancourt municipality recovers after the passage of hurricane Rafael

According to Yonel Estrada Ramírez, vice-president of the organ in the locality, «no constructive affectations or human or material losses are reported in the town, with the exception of the room and the kitchen of a house belonging to circumscription 7».

In this context, Estrada Ramírez referred to the timely mobilization of the maximum territorial leadership together with representatives of the different local political and mass organizations to quantify the damages caused to the property and to begin the work for its reestablishment.

The chief of state also said that the people evacuated in the areas of «Armonía» and the rehabilitation room of the «Bolondrón» Popular Council, as well as in the «María Villar Buceta» cultural center of the municipal capital have already returned to their homes.

He also stated that a system of piped water cycles is being set up to, together with the corresponding generators, guarantee the pumping and supply the residents in affected areas with difficult access to the precious liquid.
