The Voice of Workers in New Labor Parliaments.
Until December 30th, mass organizations and unions will have time to develop this process through assemblies of members and workers, following prior study and analysis in each grassroots Party organization.

The nationwide discussion of the Government Program to correct distortions and revitalize the economy could become another kind of Workers’ Parliament, similar to those held in 1994, José Antonio Pérez Pérez, a member of the Organizing Committee of the 22nd Congress of the Cuban Workers’ Federation (CTC), told the newspaper Trabajadores.
«If we consider that workers will have the opportunity to make proposals, and if there is a clear understanding that this constitutes the guiding principle for overcoming the complex situation we face, it could be categorized as another Workers’ Parliament,» the newspaper stated.
Until December 30th, mass organizations and unions will have time to develop this process through assemblies of members and workers, following prior study and analysis in each grassroots Party organization.
To this end, they have established the necessary coordination with national entities, agencies of the Central State Administration, higher-level business management organizations, and municipal and provincial governments, with the aim of ensuring quality in locally subordinated entities.
“We will give greater priority to strategic centers (food production, export companies, recovery of the electrical system, among others), as well as to entities without Party headquarters.”
José Antonio detailed the coordination for the participation of non-state management entities through existing union structures or in designated areas, as appropriate.
José Antonio emphasized the urgent need for more precise analyses of the responsibility of work collectives in the adverse conditions that characterize the national and international context. Therefore, he argued, the assemblies cannot be merely a formality.
He considered it necessary to evaluate all internal resources without limiting productive growth. “If the objectives of the Government
Program are linked to planning and efficiency in each location, it won’t be just another barbecue,” he stated.
