After the reading of the congratulations expressed by the Minister of Public Health, José Ángel Portal Miranda, five professionals of the sector in the territory belonging to the specialties of Integral General Medicine and Nursing received the Manuel Piti Fajardo distinction for their more than 20 and 25 years of uninterrupted work experience and Dr. José Antonio Díaz Sánchez, who was awarded the «Jesús Menéndez» medal in the national act, last December 6th, was also honored.

Likewise, Dunieski Almeral Zulueta, Secretary General of the Health Union, in the central words of the meeting, emphasized the multiple efforts of the Betancourt health union to guarantee the protection of the health and welfare of the people on the basis of a quality service and a highly trained staff.

Likewise, the highest political, governmental and sector authorities present at the meeting praised for their outstanding performance during the year the groups of workers of the Heberprot-P and Vaccination programs, the Nursing Home, the stomatological clinic, the Human Resources Department of the Assurance and Support Unit, the Federation of Cuban Women and the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, as well as the staff of the Ultrasonography service and the rehabilitation rooms belonging to Bolondrón and the municipal capital.
