Betancourt authorities evaluate progress and challenges of the Government Program.
Institutional communication was another point of discussion, as it was considered insufficient to clearly inform the public about the actions undertaken.

Political and governmental authorities from Pedro Betancourt municipality engaged in a dialogue with provincial and local officials from the Party, the Council of Administration, and the People’s Power Assembly, held at the Cuba Theater in this Matanzas province, to discuss the progressive implementation of the Government Program’s objectives aimed at correcting distortions and revitalizing the economy.
As mayor of the town, Gladys Rodríguez López presented the body’s analysis in accordance with the Program, in order to evaluate the progress of the actions undertaken, identify the main shortcomings that still persist, and develop more effective policies to guarantee the fulfillment of economic and social goals.
Issues such as the review of monetary benefits provided by the State and the contribution of milk, grain, and root vegetable producers to the basic food basket, as well as the expansion of contracting options for businesses and the urgent need to promote scientific and technological innovation in strategic sectors, garnered the attention of those present.
Institutional communication was another point of discussion, as it was deemed insufficient to clearly inform the public about the actions undertaken. The delegates agreed on the importance of establishing more efficient information mechanisms, capable of strengthening public trust and effectively connecting citizens with local government.
Finally, the session concluded with a reception for Osmani Aguiar González, head of the Permanent Commission for Productive Activity and Services, and Yainelyn Berberena García, secretary of the government structure, who were relieved of their responsibilities to assume new roles, a gesture that reaffirms confidence in the political and administrative transition of the municipality.
