In La Luisa People’s Council of Jovellanos municipality, members of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) analyzed the government program to correct distortions and revitalize the economy. The meeting was led by Yaneidys Pérez Cruz, a member of the FMC’s national leadership.
Also present was Berta Lidia Suárez, a social work and prevention specialist for the province, who noted that those in attendance thoroughly discussed the proposals contained in the document and evaluated their implementation based on local experience.
The exchange between the FMC’s national leadership and leaders of neighborhood groups and delegations from the Matanzas People’s Council proved fruitful in ensuring that the program addresses the realities of the region.
The proposals, based on the practices and challenges identified in the organization’s daily work, highlighted the need for measures that address both economic distortions and the strengthening of community management and social prevention.
At the close of the meeting, it was agreed to systematize the proposals for inclusion in the document and to continue the dialogue with a view to consolidating a program more closely aligned with local priorities.
