Concert by Failde Orchestra and Mariachi Los Coyotes Honors the Commander

Libertad Park in Matanzas awaited a unique night for city dwellers with a joint concert by the Failde Orchestra and Mariachi Los Coyotes, a union that reinforces our cultural richness.

As part of the «Fidelísimos» Cultural Days for the Centenary of Commander Fidel Castro Ruz, this musical face-off was prepared, one that will remain in the memory of followers of these artists.

The renowned bands contributed their essence in every rhythm and every lyric, with a marked incorporation of both Cuban and Mexican sonorities, which constitute their respective identity stamps.

For Ethiel Failde, director of the orchestra, hearing the audience sing with such affection songs dedicated to Matanzas women and carrying that rumba in their veins was a true satisfaction.

For his part, Daniel Méndez Rojas, who leads the invited band, expressed that this alliance represents a rescue of traditions, a criterion shared by the group’s trumpeter, Carlos Junior Hoyos Verdura.

This was the second occasion on which both groups combined talents, a collaboration that also celebrated International Youth Day.

The motto of this time of year, «Summer with My People,» accompanies this and other initiatives that enliven the mornings and nights of the season.
