Jovellanos Prepares for the Start of the School Year

Jovellanos – During this week, the municipality is intensifying preparations for the school year amid the difficulties of the economic and social context the country is going through.

Since August 28, the CDRs and the Ministry of Education have called on the population to participate in cleaning and beautification work at educational centers.

In the territory, a meeting was held with the directors of educational institutions to specify the guidelines for the new academic period based on territorial contextualization and the directives for the current year. The meeting was attended by Party and Government authorities.

Despite the material and financial limitations affecting the country, the minimum conditions for receiving students are guaranteed. The coordination between authorities, directors, and the community has allowed progress in the teaching and personnel organization to face the challenges of the new school year.

The municipal director of Education, Lucila Hernández, expressed her satisfaction with the efforts during this preparation week and highlighted the commitment of teachers, workers, and residents to offer a clean, cheerful, and dignified environment.

With the confidence that, despite adversities, students will return to the classrooms with the certainty that the community supports them and values their education as the future of the Homeland.
