Crocodiles in Quarantine.
The crocodiles are two and a half games behind the leaders, Leñadores de las Tunas, and one game ahead of their closest pursuers.

In a game where the Granma Alazanes’ offense dominated with 18 hits, they defeated the Matanzas team by knockout in eight innings with a score of 16-5.
The Matanzas defense had a rough day, committing four errors that hampered the pitching staff managed by Frank Sánchez and Jonder Martínez.
The starting pitcher for the red and yellow team, Roylan Averoff, couldn’t get past the first inning, allowing four hits, including a home run by Granma’s ninth batter, Ernesto Pérez; he also issued one walk and hit two batters.
Right-hander Silvio Iturralde came to the rescue, but ultimately took the loss, pitching only two-thirds of the game and allowing three earned runs.
The Reptiles’ runs were driven in by Andrys Pérez and Luis Ángel Sánchez, one each, and Eduardo Blanco, who drove in three more for a total of five, insufficient against one of the league’s most potent offenses.
The team managed by Armando Ferrer remains among the league leaders with a record of 40 wins and 26 losses. The Reptiles are two and a half games behind the league leaders, the Leñadores de las Tunas, and one game ahead of their closest pursuers.
