Cuba-Russia Business Forum with outreach in Varadero.
In the context of the Cuba-Russia Business Economic Forum, the signing of an agreement of understanding between Russian and Cuban businessmen from the building sector took place in this famous seaside resort, said Jorge Luis Hernández Rodríguez, director of EMPAI, on his Facebook social network.
«In the context of the Cuba-Russia Business Forum we developed presentations and exchanges of EMPAI Matanzas and UGDC No. 1 of Arcos Varadero with Russian businessmen and an agreement of understanding was signed between the parties by engineer Luazni Fernández, vice-president of Osde Gedic,» posted Hernández Rodríguez.
The director of the Architecture and Engineering Projects Company added that after the event, they toured the facilities of Cuba’s main sun and beach destination, a positive example of construction progress in Varadero, an exponent of various technologies in terms of manufacturing, including modern trends such as the sustainable ones at the Meliá Internacional hotel.
In the middle of last week, more than a hundred Russian businessmen met with Cuban representatives to examine possibilities and strengthen ties on topics related precisely to building and others such as transportation logistics, agro-industrial cooperation, innovation, digital transformation and tourism.
The Cuba-Russia Economic Business Forum and the Cuba-Russia Business Committee Meeting took place as part of the 20th session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic-Commercial and Scientific-Technical Collaboration between the two nations, held last Thursday.
According to reports, the Cuba-Russia Forum leaves a path for opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation, diversify and increase exports, as well as boost investments in the country.
The Senior Business Management Organisation (OSDE) of the Construction Design and Engineering Business Group (GEDIC) is dedicated to the strategic direction, guidance and control of the Integral System for the provision of technological services for design, projection and investment consultancy of the companies that provide these services in the Ministry of Construction.
