Matanzas poet to participate in Ibero-American poetry gathering.
The poet Leymen Pérez García, from Matanzas, will participate in the Ibero-American Meeting of Trova and Poetry to be held in Mexico, from November 18th to 28th.
The poet Leymen Pérez García from Matanzas will participate in the Ibero-American Meeting of Trova and Poetry that will be held in Mexico, from November 18th to 28th.
On Monday morning, the day before the event began, Miguel Ángel Vélez, a professor at the Juárez Autonomous University of Tabasco, interviewed poets Harold Alba, from Peru, and Pérez García, who is also an editor and professor, at the Francisco J. Santamaría Special Bibliographic Collection Library.
Next Wednesday, Pérez García will participate in the poetry recital «Life is Everything,» along with authors from Colombia, Mexico, and Cuba, in celebration of the university’s 67th anniversary.
The book «Inventing Life,» edited by the vice president of the UNEAC provincial committee in Matanzas, will also be presented. This year’s Trova and Poetry Festival features artists from Spain, Mexico, Cuba, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Argentina.
