«It was here that Venezuelans spared no effort and resources to fight, alongside us, the fire that occurred at this base that is now reborn.»
With the presence of Mario Sabines Lorenzo, first secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, representing the Fuel Marketing Company, the signature collection process began in Matanzas, in support of the struggle waged by the brotherly Venezuelan people in the face of increasing hostility from the United States.
After reading the document «It is urgent to prevent a military aggression against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,» which constitutes the Declaration of the Revolutionary Government of Cuba, Sabines signed his signature, followed by men and women from the center located in the industrial zone of the city of Matanzas.
On his Facebook profile, the Party’s first secretary stated: «We went to the Matanzas supertanker base to sign the book in support of the Cuban Revolutionary Government’s Declaration: ‘It is urgent to prevent a military aggression against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.'»
He added: «It was here that Venezuelans spared no effort and resources to fight, alongside us, the fire that occurred at this base that is reborn today.»
From the 24th to the 30th of this month, an initiative to support the people of Matanzas, the Bolivarian Revolution, Maduro—the legitimate president of the South American nation—and the popular, military, and police coalition will be in effect, emphasized Osmar Ramírez, general secretary of the Cuban Workers’ Federation in this western territory.
Ramírez stated that this act of solidarity is part of the important political consultation process for the Draft Labor Code that is taking place these days and that is notable for the high participation of employees and their managers.
