Pioneer delegates from Betancourt prepare for their provincial assembly ( photos).

A pleasant meeting held at the headquarters of the Cuban Communist Party Bureau in the municipality of Pedro Betancourt was dedicated to the training and preparation of the delegates to the upcoming provincial assembly of the «José Martí» Pioneer Organization (OPJM) of Matanzas.
The training and preparation of delegates to the upcoming Provincial Assembly of the Organization of Pioneers «José Martí» (OPJM) of Matanzas was the subject of a pleasant meeting held at the headquarters of the Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba in the municipality of Pedro Betancourt.
After the official flag-bearing of the selected pioneers, the first secretary of the local party structure, Royslán Cámbara Sosa, presented to the delegates the Betancourt socio-economic panorama, highlighting the achievements and challenges to be faced by the territory during the current year.
On the other hand, Ledianys Mejías González, first secretary of the Young Communist League (UJC), highlighted the analysis of the proposals made by the students in their educational centers, which, in commemoration of the bicentennial of the town, included the deepening of issues such as toponymy, heroes, significant events and other aspects related to local history.
Likewise, Mejías González pointed out that emphasis was placed on the protagonism of the youth and on how the actions of the OPJM and the UJC of Pedro Betancourt strengthen the vitality of the revolutionary work and guarantee the continuity of its conquests.
The exchange, headed by Liudmila Medina Novoa, provincial president of the OPJM in Matanzas and her counterpart from Betancourt, Cynthia Gener Cazañas, became a training space for the delegates in view of the provincial instance, to be held next April 26th-28th at the Pioneers Palace in Atenas de Cuba.
