Praised Family Doctor and Nurse Practitioner Program in Pedro Betancourt.
Doctors and nurses with more than four decades of uninterrupted work were honored at a meeting in Pedro Betrancourt municipality.
The Health Directorate of Pedro Betancourt municipality received from its counterpart in Cardenas the 40th Anniversary flag of the Family Doctor and Nurse Program, in an emotional political-cultural event held at the Dr. Cesáreo Sánchez polyclinic in Matanzas.
According to Yenisleidys González Prendes, director of the sector in the locality, the insignia was escorted and exhibited in various health care centers such as the maternity and old people’s homes and the aforementioned polyclinic, while multiple blood donations were made as part of the activity.
At the meeting, which was attended by Gladys Rodríguez López and Vania Hernández Herrera, mayor of the town and member of the Party Bureau, respectively, doctors and nurses with more than four decades of uninterrupted work were honored and the Municipal Directorate was awarded a recognition for its meritorious actions during the energy contingency that affected the country in previous days.
Likewise, those present praised the historic work of the Family Doctor and Nurse Program and the banner was later presented to the health personnel of the Alacranes polyclinic, in the municipality of Unión de Reyes.
