In an effort to strengthen the prevention and fight against crime, corruption, illegalities and social indiscipline, several public hearings took place in the districts of «Manuelito» and «Güira de Macuriges» in Pedro Betancourt municipality.

In an effort to strengthen the prevention and fight against crime, corruption, illegalities and social indiscipline, several public hearings were held in the districts of «Manuelito» and «Güira de Macuriges» in Pedro Betancourt municipality.

Under the leadership of Yonel Estrada Ramírez, president of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power, those present shared their experiences and concerns regarding the new regulations implemented to regulate the development of their respective economic activities and the need to encourage these spaces for feedback and reflection to improve the quality of services provided to the population.

The exchanges, carried out entirely with self-employed workers, focused on topics such as the approved pricing policy and marketing and compliance with the tax law.

Emphasis was also placed on the importance of the mandatory use of payment gateways to ensure the protection of consumers who visit these establishments.

This exercise not only seeks to inform and train self-employed workers about their rights and responsibilities, but also to promote an active dialogue that enhances the link between the different economic actors and the highest territorial management and thus contributes to the materialization of a more transparent and fair economic environment.
