Projects Recognized at the 2nd Science, Consciousness and Innovation Fair for Cultural Development in Matanzas

The 2nd Science, Consciousness and Innovation Fair for Sustainable Cultural Development evaluated 17 projects presented online by the province’s territories.

One of those recognized was from the collective led by Dr. Isabel Hernández Campos, referring to an educational innovation that increases visibility toward Afro-descendants, seeking tools for the advancement of specialists linked to museums, with the aim of rescuing values in the various demographic strata of municipalities.

Likewise, the one related to the Workshop for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder, and Cochlear Implants stood out for its great community impact.

Also, among others, the one titled «The Practice of Danzón: Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity,» led by Dr. María Victoria Oliver, and the one named «Laboratory Archive of Scenic Memory» by Masters Ulises Rodríguez Febles and María Isabel Tamayo.

Based at the José White Concert Hall, the quality of the research contributing from the sciences to the improvement of cultural policy was observed at the event.

Laidys Daniel Santana, researcher at the Provincial Directorate of Culture, told the press that the development of this 2nd Science, Consciousness and Innovation Fair for Sustainable Cultural Development in Matanzas helped socialize results, share experiences, and also celebrated the 40th anniversary of the research group and the centenary of the birth of Commander Fidel Castro Ruz, promoter of this national movement.
