Recovery Plan for the Electrical System Updated in Matanzas
One hundred burned transformers are reported in the province of Matanzas, although 23 have recently been delivered to continue the replacement process.
The data was provided by the First Secretary of the Party, Mario Sabines Lorenzo, during a working meeting in which the recovery plan for the electrical system and actions against the theft of dielectric oil were also updated.
The replacement process extends from July 2, meaning that transformers that break in August must wait for the replacement from the previous month to conclude.
The First Secretary called for implementing containment measures to prevent the theft of dielectric oil — a crime that still affects several territories in the province — and asked to find solutions to protect transformers.
For his part, Alejandro Rodríguez, director of the Matanzas Electric Company, specified that the municipalities of Matanzas and Cárdenas will be the first to complete the replacement of transformers corresponding to the month of July.
