The 2024-2025 tobacco campaign is an opportunity to consolidate work in the sector, optimize production yields and, mainly, strengthen its position in the international market.
In order to promote the production of high quality tobacco, meet market demands and contribute to the country’s economic development, the farm of producer Reynaldo Anaya Salgado, in the municipality of Jovellanos, hosted the provincial ceremony to launch the 2024-2025 tobacco campaign in the province.
The meeting brought together provincial representatives of the Delegation of Agriculture, Plant Health and the National Association of Small Farmers, as well as farmers, executives of the Leonel Fraguela Credit and Service Cooperative, insurance agents and tobacco workers.
In this regard, we talked to Norlan Hernández Rosell, general director of Empresa de Acopio y Beneficio del Tabaco Matanzas.

Hernández Rosell also pointed out that the main projections of the campaign are technological modernization and improvement in the quality of the product to meet the needs of the market and boost income generation for the country.
