The Roc Arenas Doradas Hotel was recognized for its successful trade union performance in 2023, which was more than endorsed by being among the select group of collectives in the province of Matanzas awarded the Commemorative Plaque for the 85th Anniversary of the founding of the Cuban Workers’ Central Union (CTC).

Sheila Álvarez Bouza, deputy general director for the Cuban part of the Roc Arenas Doradas, highlighted in her Facebook social network the new awards and thanked José Jesús Maden Machado, general secretary of the Union in the center of the Gran Caribe hotel group, for his dedication and union guidance.

Questioned by Radio 26, Maden Machado thanked the workers and affiliates for the possibility of representing them and to continue betting on achieving better results in quality and reputation, as well as in fulfilling the foreign currency income plans, fruit of the export of services so needed by the national economy.

The facility, founded on August 14th, 1996, stands out for its spectacular architecture and excellent stretch of beach. Nothing, however, surpasses the professionalism and friendly spirit of its employees, as recognized by many of its clients.

«We have an average of 270 workers. They are the most valuable asset of the facility,» says assistant manager Álvarez Bouza Álvarez Bouza.

Businessman Vladimir Martínez García Cano, general director of this Roc , believes that «thanks to the employees we are well positioned among the five of this brand in Cuba and the intention is to continue improving».

The markets of Canada, Germany and Russia dominate the stays in this Roc Arenas Doradas and raise the occupation, among other international emissions, and the national market, which contributes approximately 30 percent of the stays, Martínez specifies.

In order to continue increasing the attractions of the facility, he told this newspaper some time ago, the investments are part of the intention to favor both external and internal clients, in order to please both in a hotel that is 27 years old, one of the oldest in Varadero.
