Cárdenas: Tourism Sector Supporting Blood Donations.

With the solidarity contribution of a blood donation, tourism workers begin the day of recognition to voluntary donors.

The Sol Palmeras Hotel is among the outstanding ones of the Cubanacán hotel group, in addition to the Meliá Las Antillas and Marina, and the Royalton, which have stood out for years in this indicator.

At present, these days will not be as massive as they used to be because there are no bags available in the country, according to Dr. Jose Ignacio Alonso, provincial director of the Blood Bank in Matanzas.

From the work centers and the CDRs will be recognized those voluntary donors, as well as the technicians of the mobile bank that every morning go to entities and Popular Councils to carry out the extractions.

Every year, from June 6th to 14th, the gesture of solidarity of the donors is distinguished. Blood is used in surgical interventions, health programs such as maternal and child health, hemodialysis and the fight against cancer, in addition to the use of plasma in the biopharmaceutical industry.
