Equipment and systems are being put into use to start up the Antonio Guiteras de Matanzas thermoelectric power plant.

Engineer Rubén Campos Olmos, general director of the Yumurino block, commented that the start-up technically begins with the ignition of the boiler and still needs some time.

It is not a totally cold start-up, said Campos Olmos, so it is suggested that it is a process that takes an estimated six to seven hours, if the supply to the Guiteras can be kept stable.

The corrective works were certified.
