New Health Professionals Graduate in Matanzas (+Photos and Audio).
The University of Medical Sciences of Matanzas Doctor Juan Guiteras Gener, graduated this Tuesday more than 200 students belonging to the careers of Medicine, and ten of Stomatology.
The graduation ceremony, held at the Sauto Theater, National Monument, and dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution and the 55th anniversary of the beginning of medical teaching in the province, was attended by Susely Morfa González, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the territory, Doctor of Sciences Arístides Lázaro García Herrera, rector of the University of Medical Sciences, and other leaders of the Party, the UJC, the FEU, and the Health Workers Union of the institution.
During the ceremony, awards were presented to the best graduates, including 28 students who, for their effort, excellence and years of study, were awarded the Gold Degree.
Likewise, for their efforts and satisfactory results in the area of science and technological innovation, several young people with significant research in the fields of medicine received the Scientific Merit Award.
Lianne Laura de León Ramírez, member of the Vanguard Movement Mario Muñoz Monroy, Scientific Merit Award, National Young Researcher Award and Annual Health Award in the province, as well as Harold Cedeño Escalona, member of the Vanguard Movement Mario Muñoz Monroy, Scientific Merit Award, with an active participation in award examinations, were the most integral students.
At the end of the ceremony, the rector of the University of Medical Sciences, Doctor Arístides Lázaro García Herrera, highlighted the importance of this graduation and said that these new graduates are here to reinforce the health system of Matanzas and Cuba, and to give continuity to the revolutionary process.
