Students from the Fernando Alonso National Ballet School win gold medal at international festival.

Matanzas ballerina Nadila Estrada Pérez and Alejandro Lázaro Alderete Hernández, students of the Fernando Alonso National Ballet School, won gold medals at the second edition of the Puebla International Classical Ballet Festival.

The event, held in Mexico from 31st July to 5th August, brought together artists and dance lovers. It was a space in which exchanges and master classes took place.

The dancers demonstrated their talent and skill in the categories in which they competed: Pas de Deux and Contemporary. Their performance also merited a Special Jury Prize, awarded for their technical and artistic mastery.

Estrada Pérez and Alderete Hernández were supported by teachers Idania La Villa, rehearsal and preparation for this event, and Wendy Ferrer, teacher and choreographer of Recuerdos, a piece created for this competition.
