Declared Organism in Victoria in all stages of emulation in the province, García thanked the collective of «workers, artisans, artists, creators, without whom it would be impossible to achieve this and other results. The purpose is to surpass or maintain what has been achieved».
The excellent results of the Matanzas branch of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Goods (FCBC) placed it once again at the top of the emulation, after a 2024 of excellent combination of economic, union, community link and social transcendence.
A performance of such magnitude deserved the superior category of National Vanguard (VN), said Katia María Rodríguez Ramos, general secretary of the National Union of Culture Workers, who delivered the accreditation certificate to the collective of this western province of Matanzas.
«A few hours before the celebration of May Day, we are proud to congratulate a group like this one, especially for its unquestionable results and unlimited dedication. You are an example for our union,» said Rodríguez Ramos.
She highlighted the Third Degree Lázaro Peña Order, granted by presidential decree to the FCBC, in recognition of an integral performance, with special emphasis on social good actions such as donations to those affected by weather phenomena, attention to the 26th circumscription of the Matanzas Oeste Popular Council, to the Faustino Pérez and Eliseo Noel Caamaño hospitals, and to homes for children without family support.
She called on the affiliates, workers and their families to lead a historic parade for the World Proletariat Day, with the “conviction that we will raise our voices against the US blockade and in favor of the unity of Cubans, in defense of the conquests and of sovereignty and independence”.
Félix García, director of the Matanzas branch of the FCBC, summarized the performance of 2024, year of over-fulfillment of the income plan by more than 123 million pesos and of sales; growth in exports; zero idle or slow-moving inventories; decrease in accounts payable, which marked the management of the previous year.
He highlighted the notable increase in sales through electronic channels, compared to 2023, something that maintained this trend in the productive chains.
He referred to the rescue and operation of the ceramics workshop through the Hub Particular international collaboration project, among other positive balances of a period in which the payment to creators was honored without difficulties and the dialogue with them was strengthened, with periodic meetings.

At the VN certificate award ceremony, the FCBC recognized the work of the outstanding graphic humorist Manuel Hernández Valdés, who recently received the National Plastic Arts Award 2024.
