X Congress of the CDR Assembly begins in Matanzas (+photos)

The Provincial  X Congress of the CDR Assembly began in Matanzas with the presence of the Hero of the Republic of Cuba Gerardo Hernandez Nordelo, national coordinator of  the Defense  Revolution Committees.

With a tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro, founder of this organization that was born without doubt to be eternal, began the conclave attended by about 150 delegates from all the municipalities of Matanzas.

This event, presided over by Susely Morfa González, first secretary of the Party, Mario Sabines Lorenzo, governor, and Norlenys Serpa, provincial coordinator of the largest mass organization in the country, analyzes issues such as the selection, preparation and stability of the cadres and their reserves, the functioning of the zones and the CDRs, and preventive work.

The role of families in society, actions with the new generations and the appropriate use of technology are also discussed.

Hernández Nordelo congratulated the people and cederistas of Matanzas for the results of the province in the emulation for July 26.

During the assembly, the 41 members of the CDR’s Provincial Directorate and the 30 delegates to the National Congress, to be held next September, were elected.

Ten candidates were also proposed to integrate the National Directorate and Norlenys Serpa was ratified as the provincial coordinator.

The municipalities of Perico, Martí and Ciénaga de Zapata were also recognized, as well as the Provincial Health Directorate for its support with blood donations, vector control and Covid-19.
