Experience Art in Jovellanos’ Workshops

As part of the activities of the second month of the current summer season in the municipality of Jovellanos, the Manuel Navarro Luna Municipal House of Culture offers the community a varied program of artistic workshops.

Dance, theater, and visual arts are the leading disciplines of this proposal, designed for the enjoyment and cultural formation of children, youth, and adults during the summer months.

The dance workshops cover different genres and rhythms, from traditional Cuban folk expression to more contemporary manifestations, while the theater workshops foster creativity, body expression, and stage improvisation among participants.

Parallel to this, the visual arts workshop invites participants to explore painting, drawing, and modeling techniques, stimulating the aesthetic sensitivity and visual talent of attendees.

This initiative, which takes place at the central headquarters of the cultural institution, responds to the purpose of revitalizing local artistic life and offering spaces for healthy recreation and learning during the summer season.

The workshops are taught by instructors from the Art Instructors Movement, founded by Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, and on the occasion of the centenary of his birth on the 13th of this month, they work with greater effort and dedication, thus honoring his philosophy of bringing art and culture to every corner of our people and community.

In this way, Jovellanos reaffirms its commitment to the promotion of art and culture, providing its population with training and entertainment options that enrich the summer.

These spaces, open to all interested parties regardless of age, constitute a unique opportunity to discover or perfect artistic skills in an environment of healthy coexistence and creativity, thus strengthening the social and cultural fabric of the Matanzas municipality.
