50th Anniversary of the People’s Court System Commemorated in Matanzas(+ Photos and Audio).

More than 20 workers of the People’s Courts System, an institution that together with the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Cuba (FGR) will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its constitution on December 23rd, were honored at a political and cultural event held at the Office of the Conservator of the city of Matanzas, the former Palace of Justice of the province.

The select group of judges and court clerks received various awards for their commendable professional performance during their careers in the organ, including the Jesús Menéndez Medal, awarded by the Council of Ministers and the Cuban Workers’ Central Union (CTC), the distinction for years of uninterrupted service in the sector and the Judicial Merit, the highest moral incentive awarded by the People’s Supreme Court (TSP).

The event was also an opportunity for officials of the Party, the government and representatives of entities and organizations that maintain working ties with the judicial body to present their awards to the collective of the Provincial People’s Court (PPT).

Since the beginning of 2023, the People’s Court System throughout the country celebrates its 50th anniversary with actions focused on extolling the work of magistrates, judges and other workers who, with responsibility, sense of belonging and great commitment provide their services in the exercise of imparting justice in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic.
