Los Arabos tornado recovery work in progress

The authorities of Los Arabos municipality are working on the recovery after the occurrence of the tornado that, without causing loss of human lives, this Thursday caused material damages in an area known as La Gaviota and part of the popular council of Macagua, belonging to the territory.

Yaidiel Milián La Fé, president of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power in Los Arabos, declared that the event affected a total of 68 houses, of which 41 have partial damage to the roof, another 26 have total damage, in addition to a partial landslide and two warehouses damaged.

The political and governmental authorities are watching over the agility and relevance of the actions to revert the evils and rescue as much as possible. Meanwhile, the provincial government has designated a group of resources that will contribute to the process, said Milián La Fé.

Various entities and organizations such as the Electric Company, for the rehabilitation of circuits, the Telecommunications Company and construction personnel are working on the recovery.
