The «María Villar Buceta» cultural center was set up as an evacuation center for the territory.
According to Ángel Manuel Sabido Santana, director of the house of culture «María Villar Buceta», established as the evacuation center of the locality, the facility had its conditions created to ensure a pleasant and safe stay to those who resided in it during the transit of the meteorological organism.

Similarly, Taimí García Cartaya, director of the Leonor Pérez Cabrera Polytechnic School, highlighted the work of the teaching staff to prevent possible damage to the building, the material bases for study and life and the technological infrastructure of the center.

Likewise, Yenisleidys González Prendes, general director of Health, informed our radio station that the means and resources were assured to assist the population at the designated evacuation point, while stressing the need to ensure the protection of buildings and essential health equipment to maintain uninterrupted medical care in the town.
