Several members of the National Commission responsible for the process devoted their most recent visit to Pedro Betancourt to evaluate the implementation of Law 148 on Food and Nutritional Sovereignty and Security.

Yunys Carrión Cutiño, member of the Advisory Group of the National Commission, recognized the positive indicators of the municipality in terms of food production and the observance of the Law, as well as the effectiveness of the local development strategy in each of its programs.

For her part, Yanixis Díaz Lezcano, national official of the Cuban Women’s Federation, emphasized the leading role of the Betancourean federates and their preponderant role in agricultural work and their contributions to the application of the SAN law in the locality within the framework of the organization’s XI Congress.

Those present ratified their commitment to continue guaranteeing food production in the locality.
