Young from Matanzas in Epigenetics Convention.
The First International Convention on Integrative Epigenetic Health University/Community Epigenetics 2023, sponsored by the Directorate of Science and Innovation of the University of Medical Sciences of Matanzas, is currently being held in Matanzas.
The event, which closes the IV Science for All Meeting, organized by the university, includes scientific meetings, workshops, exhibitions, fairs, courses and conferences on various topics related to biotechnology and biomedical sciences, ethics, research and innovation in health, as well as medical education, the quality of medical care, emerging diseases and the organization and operation of health systems.
Yoandy Figueredo, a researcher from Matanzas, together with Yasmani García, PhD, deputy director of the Provincial Sugarcane Research Station, presented at the Convention a work on the integration of that scientific center with biomedical research laboratories on the determinants of epigenetic health in human beings.
At the I International Convention on Integrative Epigenetic Health University/Community 2023, which was attended by foreign specialists, research on integrative medicine, extension processes and historiography of Medical Sciences were also presented. Yoandi Figueredo, a young researcher from Matanzas, talks about his impressions.

The Convention, which concludes next Friday, November 24th, aims at developing a wide-ranging debate on current issues in the field of research and innovation. It is attended by professionals and students from all medical, stomatological, nursing and health technology specialties, as well as from other sectors that contribute to improve the quality of Cuban health.
