Pre-registration begins for in-person and distance learning courses at Matanzas University.

The University of Matanzas has notified provincial government agencies and the general public that the pre-enrollment process for in-person and distance learning courses for the 2026-2027 academic year will take place from Monday, March 2nd, until March 31st.
According to the notice published on the university’s website and communication channels, this procedure is mandatory and the only one required for all applicants seeking admission to higher education, whether through a request from a workplace or by applying personally. It is an essential requirement for university admission.
Due to current difficulties with the energy and connectivity situation, the university’s Governing Council has established two options for accessing the pre-enrollment process.
Online pre-registration will be available from this Monday until March 23 for those who can access the system through the website www.umcc.cu, while, in order to ensure registration for those who cannot guarantee it virtually, in-person registration will be carried out during the period from March 24th to 31st.
The in-person option will be offered at the Academic Secretariat of the main campus of the University of Matanzas, as well as at each of the university’s municipal centers and branches throughout the province.
The press release reiterates that pre-registration, in either of its two formats, is a mandatory step for applicants and emphasizes that the deans of each faculty, as well as the directors and academic secretaries of the municipal university centers, will be responsible for organizing and overseeing this process.
For more details about the registration process for the blended and distance learning courses offered by the University of Matanzas in the province, interested parties should contact the University of Matanzas and its branches by phone or through social media.
