Acquisition of BANDEC prepaid cards increases.

More than 40 customers acquired the prepaid card of the Bank of Credit and Commerce (BANDEC) in the first week of the month, after expanding the possibilities and facilities of use and the number continues to rise, according to Aylín Lozano, communicator of the entity in Matanzas.

The BANDEC prepaid card is a means of electronic payment for exclusive use in the national territory, valid for five years, added the specialist.

«As from January 24th of this year, it began to be acquired in selected branches and in Cadeca’s network of offices, in cash in any of the currencies authorized to circulate in the country, for a minimum value of USD 50.00 from which a commission of USD 4.00 is deducted for its purchase».

It was also informed that it can be recharged by means of cash deposits with the currencies authorized to circulate and by transfers from abroad, with no limit of amount. It enables the purchase of goods and services in the retail and wholesale network, as well as the purchase of fuel in the service centers that will be set up in USD.

They may be acquired by foreign and national individuals, resident or not in the national territory, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Non-Agricultural Cooperatives (CNA), Self-Employed Workers (TCP), Individual Farmers and Other Forms of Non-State Management (OFGNE) and the population in general.

The cardholder, at the time of leaving the country, may be reimbursed for the unused amount up to a maximum of 100.00 USD or its equivalent in another available currency, always presenting his/her boarding pass.
