Sports celebration in Pedro Betancourt.

With an allegorical sticker, the Municipal Sports Directorate officially designated the homes of the athletes who will represent the territory and the nation in the Central American Games of San Salvador 2023: Raúl Trujillo Díaz and Darián Suárez Gamboa.

Amidst applause and ovations, the highest authorities of the Party and the Government in the locality, as well as other directors and officials of the political and mass organizations, went to the homes of Trujillo Díaz, in the municipal capital and Suárez Gamboa in the Pedroso Popular Council and highlighted the remarkable trajectory and contributions of both to Greco-Roman wrestling and athletics, respectively. Mercedes María López Torres, director of Sports in the territory, commented:

Likewise, Trujillo Díaz donated to the Héctor Mederos Argüelles Municipal Sports Museum the diploma that accredited him as the best Greco-Roman wrestling coach in the country and was stimulated the sportsman Maicol Vázquez Aballí, who according to Juan Francisco Querol Morales, national coach of the youth handball team, is currently participating in the Youth World Cup Greece 2023 of this sport, became top scorer in the tournament held the day before against Egypt and will beat this Saturday against Chile.

The Central American and Caribbean Games, which in 2023 will hold their twenty-fourth edition, are being held from June 23rd until July 8th in the city of San Salvador.
