Varadero hotel awarded by EarthCheck.

The Iberostar Grand Packard, the Grand Trinidad and the Selection Varadero received this week the International Sustainability Certification offered by EarthCheck, a leading organization in consulting, scientific benchmarking and certification for the travel and tourism industry with a sustainable approach.
María del Pilar Macías Rutes, Director of Operations and Quality of the Ministry of Tourism, shared the happy news on her social networks and in this regard stated, «We continue to bet on sustainability and a responsible tourism model that takes care of people and the environment.»
This is not the first recognition obtained by the Iberostar Selection Varadero collective for its environmentally friendly practices. Already in May 2022 they were recognized by the international institution, whose certificates are recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.
The Iberostar Group announced the first collaboration agreements with EarthCheck with the aim of working in coordination with the sustainability initiatives being implemented in the hotel chain’s more than 120 hotels by the end of 2019.
