Matanzas: 45 Economic Actors Increase Electronic Commerce

Following the implementation of the new banking norms to promote electronic commerce and the use of payment gateways, a total of 45 economic actors in the province of Matanzas have already negotiated ways to replenish income from their fiscal accounts and restock their economic activity.

Yanetsy Chávez Camaraza, provincial director of the Bank of Credit and Commerce (BANDEC), commented that the economic actors were identified, cited for operating on main arteries and dedicating themselves to the sale of food. The negotiation was established without major inconveniences.

The specialist noted that the norm has been well received and that the banking entity has arranged the delivery of cash to economic actors in correspondence with the volume of online payment operations.

The official stressed that the demand for cash by these actors is made based on income in their fiscal accounts — and not in their personal ones — and that weekly, biweekly, or monthly figures are agreed, according to the level of activity.

Chávez Camaraza explained that the branches have a much more comfortable level of cash than at other times, and that the process will continue to promote online payment with the objective that the economic actors benefiting from this initiative continue betting on electronic commerce.

«It is a recently initiated process and offers advantages for everyone: businesspeople and clients,» she concluded.
