The territory «welcomes us, alert, with clear goals that, if materialized, would mean a contribution to public transportation that our population needs so much», the Minister posted on his Facebook account.
In his opinion, expanding the most demanded services of inter-municipal connections, with special attention to Unión de Reyes, a challenge to which is added that state vehicles (Transmetro buses, School buses and state cars in general) have the obligation to stop and pick up the population. He added that «it is very serious that under the present circumstances, buses circulate empty».
In this sense, he expressed the support that should be given to public transportation with other vehicles, monitoring it and ensuring that it is complied with. «It is not enough to indicate it, it must be coordinated with date, time and route. To put order to the support and that the population can plan», he insisted.
He referred to the urgency of improving the comfort of the terminals, especially the bus terminals, currently out of service, as well as the railway stations, including Hersey.
He called to make alliances, always from the legality, with state entities and also with the private sector, and to accelerate the recovery of buses and encourage the conversion of others to ferrobuses.
«It is necessary to solve the organizational inconsistencies between the allocated fuel and the physical fuel; to take an objective look at the fuel and reorganize schemes in all municipalities; to solve chronic problems and involve all those who can contribute to the mobility of passengers, especially during peak hours.
«What are we going to do preventively and communicatively on the issue of accidents?» he asked. «Everything we do in this regard will always be little. Be careful with the circulation of motorcycles, licenses and the mandatory use of helmets», he warned.
He insisted on ensuring the patching plan and paying attention to the roads of provincial and municipal interest, due to the great deterioration. For this purpose, he remarked, it is also valid to link up with the Ministry of Construction, the People’s Power and MSMEs, especially with the support of fuels.
