In 2023, it more than fulfilled its mission and work objectives, as demonstrated by the fulfillment of the economic plan of 125 percent of income, a cash handled higher than the previous year and the completion of 99.99 percent of cash registers, the measurable indicators.

These results were enough for Cadeca to win again the superior category of Vanguardia Nacional, the highest stimulus granted by the Cuba Trade Union Center  to transcendent collectives for their integrality in the economic and union performance.

As highlighted by Dailé González Acevedo, the provincial director, the professionalism, commitment and responsibility of the workers in each task distinguish the men and women of the entity, who also stand out in the productive workdays and in the attention to the areas of the Casas de Cambio that are subordinated to the branches in the territory and the delivery of donations.

In 2024, Cadeca is focusing on expanding the use of new information technologies and electronic means of payment, and on leading the improvement of the exchange market with the systematic increase of operations, Tamara Castellanos Sixto, secretary general of the trade union section, told the Cuban News Agency (Agencia Cubana de Noticias).

Yaisel Osvaldo Pieter Terry, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and secretary general of the National Union of Public Administration Workers, praised the coherence in the words and deeds of this group.

Cadeca’s example shows «sustainable results, which contribute and demonstrate that the socialist state enterprise can be efficient and that it is committed to providing good service to the public», he emphasized.

Cadeca exhibits its best results just in the context of the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of its entry into operation on June 14th, 1994, date that the institution will celebrate with several activities, mainly the recognition of its workers.
